When you give your life to Jesus, we discover a true freedom. But this freedom is not for doing whatever we want. It teaches us, above all, to love others.
In this passage, the apostle Paul explains that even if a Christian knows that something is not a sin for them, they must be careful not to cause a weaker brother to stumble.
Why? Because Jesus died for this person too.
Our knowledge must never be greater than our love. Jesus never sought his own interest. He gave his life on the cross to save us. By following him, we are called to think of others too.
Before doing or saying anything, let's ask ourselves this question: Will this bring someone closer to Jesus or further away?
Following Jesus isn't just about knowing the Bible. It's also about choosing to love, encourage, and protect the faith of those who are still growing.

Lord Jesus, teach me to use the freedom you have given me with wisdom and love. Help me never to be a stumbling block for anyone, but to lead others to you. Amen.
